"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both..." - Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
It took me decades to understand there was a concept I was practicing. Even after I understood the concept, I let the gem of these lessons learned slip away. I would repeat a cycle of living... learning... and forgetting. Like most, I was on auto pilot...
I think about that line above by Robert Frost... and wonder where he was when this poem came to him... I think about the opportunities or decisions laid out before him... and wonder if he took the well trodden path or the "other" one.
I envision myself standing at my own crossroads. One path is padded down and the other overgrown; the morning's rays shining between the overgrown blades of grass. I've seen this path before... along the camino in Spain. Along the camino, there are times two routes appear... one longer, more scenic... or shorter and more treacherous... one with more ease... more travelers... and another where you'll become a loner along a countryside or hills, hidden pastures and muddy, rocky uphill terrain.
Research has shown an average adult lives 10 years of their life on auto pilot.
If you think you're the exception, another study revealed 96% of 3,000 people surveyed said they lived their life on auto pilot. Doing the math... 120 people of the 3,000 are living intentionally.
Would you take a leap of faith?
I didn't recognize at the time I was living life filled with a series of amazing life altering - paradigm shifting moments... and then I'd bookend these transformative (brave) story-worthy moments with a mental re-caliberation of acclimation...

I was subconsciously creating a pattern that would define my life. A pattern that would leave me feeling empty, lost... unhappy and depressed. Unhappiness is not the opposite of happiness. Both of these feelings are independent of each other and can co-exist (happen) simultaneously... I was unhappy.... unhappy to my core.
Our brains are primarily designed for survival, not necessarily for happiness or thriving in a modern context.
Are We Meant to Thrive?
Our minds are structured in ways to keep us alive, even if it means to kill our spirit. It was like a virus had taken over my mind and injected it with a program. It overrode the new programming. And if you're living with PTSD like myself, you're likelihood is 26 - 78% higher than others to enter auto pilot. Auto pilot is another form of disassociation to help us "survive" the moment... even if the moment doesn't require surviving.
When do you move out of fear.. scarcity... depression and flip the frequency?
There are 3 sides that no one tells you about.
Understanding these three sides... will help you recognize when your mind begins to slip back into an old pattern even after having a life altering and transformative event. When I give my clients an assignment to journal, the first thing they want to write about is their current life experience. Then they will go back... to moments they aren't yet ready to let go of. It defined their actions; and those actions became patterns. It's not my fault, they'd say... It was because of him.. or her... or them... and so on. After reading some of my old journals, I found myself doing the same. I not only did the same thing, I repeated it over and over and over again... repeating patterns I wasn't aware of. Journaling became a venting session... a place of letting go... without solutions... absent of day dreams or believing there is a way to more. We all want more, but how do we get there? Where should we start.
Your biggest obstacle
The older we get... the more we become stuck... Stuck in our routines. Yearning for more but unsure how to break free. Our biggest obstacles is not external circumstances, but our frequency (the energy we emit). The energy we have LEFT OVER after doing all the things we feel we have to do. IF WE WANT to step into experiences that unlock our potential, raise our vibration, give us more energy and alter the way we see ourselves... We need to shift our personal frequency.
What Does "Changing Your Frequency" Mean?
Your frequency is the vibrational energy you emit daily. It’s influenced by your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and habits. When you're in a state of fear, doubt, or negativity, your frequency is low, making it harder to attract positive experiences. Conversely, when you cultivate joy, gratitude, and confidence, your frequency rises, opening doors to new opportunities.

Why Do You Need to Raise Your Frequency?
Attract New Opportunities: Higher vibration attracts positive circumstances and people aligned with your growth.
Overcome Fear of the Unknown: Elevated energy levels reduce fear and resistance to trying new things.
Enhance Creativity and Motivation:A high-frequency state sparks inspiration and the energy to take action.
Practical Steps to Shift Your Energy:
Practice Gratitude: Focus on what you already have and express appreciation daily.
Engage in Physical Movement: Exercise, dance, or walk to boost endorphins and elevate your mood.
Meditate or Breathe Deeply: Calm your mind and connect with your inner self to reset your energetic state.
Surround Yourself with Positivity: Spend time with uplifting people, consume inspiring content, and eliminate negativity.
Visualize Your Desired Outcome: Imagine yourself doing what you've never done before with confidence and enthusiasm.

Embrace the Unknown with Confidence
Changing your frequency isn't about forcing yourself into a new state but gently shifting your energy to align with your desires. When your energetic vibration rises, you'll find the motivation and courage to step into unfamiliar territory.
Remember: The energy you emit today sets the foundation for the experiences you'll have tomorrow. Dare to do something you've never done before by first nurturing your inner energy — because your frequency is the key to unlocking new possibilities.
Daily Practice Tips
Learn to incorporate mindfulness practices of 5 to 10 minutes each day; a series of pranayama (breathing techniques) and a minutes of sitting in stillness (emptying the mind and sitting in silence).
Combine mindfulness practices with physical activity (sun salutations from yoga, a light or intense workout, a walk or bike ride) it reinforces your energetic shift.
Add in affirmations during your mindfulness session adds another layer increasing your ability to connect to the peaceful part of your subconscious and your true self... your atma, your center.
Be patient and gentle with yourself - transformation takes time.

I hope you've enjoyed this blog... I want to share what I've learned... I want you to know, I'm like most others... living a human experience learning to lean into the cosmic vibrations I feel... I've answered yes to more experiences than have shaped my life... Leaving me feeling deeply connected to elements like the earth... the Himalayas, rivers, rocky paths and stormy days... It has also left me more lonely and disconnected to the world of people around me. You are not alone if this resonates with you...
I feel like I've turned over this leaf... and more on path...
Much Love,
Polly
p.s. I didn't proof read this... I have a habit of rewriting... leaving blogs in drafts. I've learned this. Any errors I offer up as tribute in my own personal hunger games.
