Awareness Lives in the Mind. Change Lives in the Body

Talk therapy can give you language, understanding, and clarity. But many people reach a point where they think:

“I understand it… so why does my body still react the same way?”

Because your nervous system doesn’t shift through logic alone.


Your body holds patterns of protection in the form of tension, contraction, hyper-vigilance, shutdown; that formed long before you had words for them. It's okay... You're not alone... When I began integrating ways to release this bodily tension... I began to find peace in my chattering mind. I didn't try to silence my thoughts... I stepped back and looked at my thoughts like a movie.


BODY SECURITY

Until the body feels safe, aligned, and energized, you may still experience:


    •    Low life force energy

    •    Difficulty setting boundaries

    •    Feeling disconnected from your true self

    •    Emotional exhaustion

    •    A subtle sense of being “off”


That’s not a failure of therapy.

When I started following the plan... and not my mood, I began to shift my mood. Instead of standing in it... I started owning it. I struggled most with this concept. It was sooooo hard for me to get...


As I'm writing this from my makeshift treadmill desk... feeling about 60% and my eyes watering and itchy from the intense allergy season only Oklahoma brings... I decided that sugar I wanted to ease the discomfort of me NOT doing my morning routine; has lightened my mood. I feel more energized...more focused... and the time to complete the tasks that will bleed into my personal vision.



CHANGE LIVES IN THE BODY


How do I even know I feel 60%? I measured it against one of the worst physical accidents of my life. I craved for even this kind of moment; fearing the worst. So, I know... what to gauge it against. What is up from there... not here!


IN CONCLUSION:


Awareness lives in the mind but change lives in the body. A body in motion helps you clear away those heavy thoughts. Can't do it? sure you can... Take a moment and re-read this blog. Send it to someone who may be struggle with momentum. You might learn from them, movement... action... creates that momentum!
