How is TRAUMA stored as tension in the Body & Mind?
When a person experiences a traumatic event, the body's stress response can become chronically activated, leading to physical tension, tight muscles, and a feeling of being on edge. The mind may hold onto fear, anxiety, and emotional distress, which can manifest as intrusive thoughts, hypervigilance, or emotional numbness. This interplay between body and mind can cause a cycle where unresolved trauma continues to impact overall well-being unless addressed through therapeutic or healing practices.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
This class is a supportive, easy-going, co-ed environment with a skilled and knowledgable teacher. Expect to experience a personal tension release as your body shifts and moves on it's own to release tension held in the muscles, tissues and organs of the body. You'll set the tone the class session by doing a body scan and setting a Sankalpa (a resolve for yourself), going through the process of a deep guided relaxation that will help you reduce the symptoms of depression, anxiety and PTSD. You will feel physically, mentally and emotionally lighter. Guided through several holistic modalities; breath control, meditation, energy expansion to bring your energy levels back up.
