Exploring Divine Intervention or Coincidence?

What the Helly?

In this week's journal prompt, I was driving eastbound through traffic, looked over in the westbound lanes and saw a (freshly had) horrible accident. Ambulances and police vehicles still struggling on route to get to them.

I drove that strip just 20 minutes ago, I had this horrible feeling of being in accident. All of me was on high alert. I arrived at my destination in one piece, passing places I haven't seen for decades.... bringing back so many different memories. Standing in an office, I spoke to a lady a little longer than I had time; sharing different concerns for the area of her business... I wished her safety and love; and I walked on to my car. I fiddled with my playlist and waited for a plume of dust from a semi driving down a business street to pass...

I think to myself sitting, drinking my coffee and writing... Was the feeling I had a divine intervention... a message... a frequency... vibration of what was to come. OR did the frequency of fearing or feeling the possibility of an accident manifest itself through time.

ree

Much more has happened since that moment on the highway, but I like the thought of moving from coincidence (which I didn't have... but would have in my 30's & 40's) to divine intervention and a message... of what was to come. I went on to feeling, if our frequency can transform time... and our physical body (which I teach in energy expansion, cultivation and transmutation) and created this possibility of an accident. I'm appreciating the slow paradigm shifts I'm having around frequency.

THIS WEEK'S JOURNAL PROMPT

What do YOU believe constitutes as a divine message or divine sign? What qualities or characteristics make a message feel sacred or divine to you? Consider moments in your life when you have received a sign or message that felt meaningful or guiding. What made it stand out as divine?

All of this will of course be tied to some resistance... and possiblity some hidden parts of ourselves where we felt... hmmmm... this is weird... and then shrugged it off as coincidence.

CARL JUNG: Archetypes & the Collective Unconscious

Carl Jung's Archetypes
Carl Jung's Archetypes

Get ready for me to get very analytical. This section is to help support you during your personal exploration of the journal prompt provided.

Carl Jung's concepts of archetypes and the collective unconscious suggest that the unconscious mind has both personal and universal layers. The collective unconscious is a shared, inherited reservoir of primal experiences and images common to all humanity, while archetypes are the universal, instinctual patterns and symbolic themes that arise from it. These archetypes manifest in human behavior, dreams, myths, religions, and art across different cultures.

Collective unconscious:

  • Definition: The deepest level of the psyche, shared by all humans, that contains the inherited, cumulative experiences of our ancestors.

  • Distinction: It is separate from the personal unconscious, which contains an individual's forgotten or repressed memories.

  • Function: It serves as a psychic foundation for all individual minds, containing the raw material for universal human experiences.

Archetypes:

  • Definition: Innate, universal patterns of thought and imagery that are the contents of the collective unconscious. They are not specific memories but rather the structures or potentials for certain kinds of experiences and behaviors.

  • Manifestation: Archetypes appear in universal themes, symbols, and characters found in myths, legends, art, and dreams across cultures.

  • Influence: They influence our perceptions and behaviors in certain situations.

  • Examples:

    • The Persona: The social mask we wear to conceal our true selves.

    • The Shadow: The darker, more primitive side of the personality.

    • Anima/Animus: The unconscious feminine side in men and the unconscious masculine side in women.

    • The Self: The total personality and the goal of psychological growth, or individuation.

    • The Hero: The figure who overcomes evil and death, often depicted in stories of a hero's journey.

    • The Wise Old Man: An archetype representing wisdom and knowledge, seen in figures like wizards or revered teachers.
